Dr. Etan Marks, MD

Medical Lab Director – Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery- Delray Lab

Dr. Marks is a board certified pathologist with subspecialty board certification in hematopathology and dermatopathology. He attended medical school at NOVA Southeastern University and completed his pathology residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he served as chief resident. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in hematopathology at NYU Langone Medical Center and a second fellowship in dermatopathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center under the tutelage of Dr. Clay Cockerell. This combination of fellowships gave Dr. Marks a unique interest in cutaneous lymphomas as well as experience in several diagnostic techniques including flow cytometry and molecular assays.

Dr. Marks is the laboratory director of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery’s Delray Beach dermatopathology laboratory and is a primary investigator (PI) in the research division. Dr. Marks has published over 30 articles in peer reviewed journals and enjoys pursuing a variety of research topics. Additionally, he is dedicated to teaching medical students and residents.

In his free time, Dr. Marks enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

Dr. Shuo Liu, MD

Dermatopathologist – Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery- Delray Lab

Dr. Shuo Liu is a board-certified anatomical and clinical pathologist, and a board-eligible dermatopathologist. He completed his medical school training at the top of his class from Peking University Health Science Center, China. He graduated from anatomical and clinical pathology residency program at the University of South Alabama, and served as chief resident. Dr. Liu fell in love with dermatopathology, and pursued a dermatopathology fellowship at Global Pathology.

Dr. Liu is a physician-investigator, and enthusiastic about medical research. He completed a PH.D. degree in tissue engineering at Rush University and participated in several NIH-funded research projects at Johns Hopkins University and University of Maryland. Throughout his career, he published multiple original articles with high impact factors in top research journals and gave several talks in international and domestic conferences. He was honored with the Alice L. Jee Young Investigator Award by Orthopaedic Research Society.

Dr. Shuo Liu enjoys cooking in his spare time. He enjoys playing soccer with his two boys and has coached the U10 soccer team at North Mobile Soccer Club.

Dr. Stephanie Liu, MD

Dermatopathologist – Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery- Delray Lab

Dr. Liu is a board certified dermatopathologist. She received her BS in Biology from Nova Southeastern University and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY while also receiving her MBA in healthcare management.

Following medical school, Dr. Liu completed a dermatopathology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai.

She is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the American Academy of Dermatology.

In her free time, Dr. Liu enjoys interior design, running, gardening, and travel.

Dr. Sadia Saeed, MD

Dermatopathologist – Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery- Delray Lab

Dr. Saeed is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with a sub-specialty certification in Dermatopathology. She did her undergraduate education in West Africa, with an O’Levels degree from the University of London and West African Examination Council, followed by a pre-medical track at the Pakistan Airforce Degree College.

She obtained her medical degree from Khyber Medical College in Pakistan. Thereafter, she moved to the United States, where she started her Pathology residency training at Duke University Medical Center, and subsequently relocated and completed her Pathology residency training at University of South Florida.

She completed Dermatopathology Fellowship at University of California – San Francisco, and later joined as Faculty at the Department of Dermatopathology at University of California – San Francisco.

Since joining Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Saeed has continued her interest in teaching, and is involved in teaching our Dermatology residents, a role that she finds deeply gratifying.

Dr. Robin Burger, MD

Dr. Burger is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology and is a practicing Dermatopathologist, who has also served as a faculty member of the KCU-GME Consortium / ADCS Orlando Dermatology Residency Program.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women, New York, NY, and received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Buffalo, where she received the Pathology Honor Society Award.

Following anatomic and clinical pathology residency training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Burger completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology, New York, NY. While there, she trained under Dr. Edward Heilman and Dr. Geoff Gottlieb, both proteges of the renowned Dr. Bernie Ackerman, one of the leading figures in the development of the field of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Burger is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the US and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, swimming, watching Netflix and constantly filling her thirst for knowledge by reading Dermatopathology and Dermatology textbooks and journals so she can apply the leading-edge knowledge gained toward helping patients.
